The San Diego based 24 Hours of LeMons car builder is back with a new version of Toyota Prius car called the Toyohog and is now available for sale through many online shopping portals. Spank Worthington, the car builder at 24 Hours of LeMons, actually used Toyohog for his racing debut at the 2012 Heaps in the Heart of Texas season-ender. This one of a kind car has been used in different racing circuits and is now currently available for sale. The vehicle comes with an 86 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 engine that has been modified to run an 1100cc engine.
The engine actually drives the Prius front wheels via the sequential four-speed Harley transmission and a chain drive rig to the Prius differential. Buyers who are planning to buy The Toyohog would also take home another hybrid electric pit bike as a free gift. This bike contains a number of parts from Harley-Davidson bikes including a 2-stroke whacker engine. This is one of the very few Toyota cars that have never been recalled. Though uniquely marketed in California, it has its own set of detractors and critics. But there are also some sections of LeMons fans that are waiting for the next release from LeMons.
